Hey there—I’m David Hoyt, though most people just call me Hoyt. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find something here that resonates.

I’m a Creative Director with 20 years of experience leading creative teams on multi-disciplinary projects—brand identity, advertising campaigns, strategy and positioning, web and digital media, print design, installations and experiences, TV and video, sound and motion, and beyond.

I graduated from RIT’s Imaging Arts & Sciences School in Rochester, NY, worked at a spinoff of Saatchi & Saatchi led by the ECD, and then on to ICE, Inc., the dominant creative shop in town.

I’ve founded two agencies, the first in Rochester, NY—building it from two to 10 people and $11MM in capitalized billings. In search of a bigger market, I was relocated to Texas to work on the Texas Lottery account at the fourth largest agency in the Southwest, where I won Best of Show and several other national awards. Later I founded an agency in Houston—leading it from two to nine people and again winning national awards such as a Webby, Communication Arts, and more.

I lead best in collaboration with team and stakeholder. A fully transparent process, that we immerse ourselves into and dig ourselves out of with the best possible work to solve the challenge.

I’ve always been driven to create. My mom would probably tell you I’ve always been a little different—curious, funny, constantly pushing the edge. I ask questions, challenge the norm, look for ways to make things better. That instinct has shaped everything I do.

One of the most rewarding parts of the creative process is collaboration. When a team is in sync, everyone’s contributing, the work is celebrated—and clients are celebrating.
